The Late Great
A1 Print.
After high school, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do (classssssic!). My parents hoped I’d go to university, but at 17, choosing a career that could define the rest of my life felt hectic. My mum arranged an interview at Whitecliffe School of Fine Arts, and after presenting my portfolio, I made a decision, I didn’t want my passion to become a job and besides, how many artists really make it?
I took a gap year and eventually completed a Bachelor of Business at AUT.
Now, without the pressures of being a poor artist and not having to worry about my next meal whilst on the come up, I create simply because I love it - escapism.
This symbolises my journey of perfecting my trade - both in my life and my art. It's not the destination, it's the journey (Ohh that’s a good quote. Nearly added in LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH - glad I managed to slide this one in here).
